	The Meishin Kyudojo is a privately owned 5-person kyudojo and matoba built to allow kyudo practice in conformance with All Nippon Kyudo Federation procedural standards.

	The early days of the Meishin Kyudojo; one student, one target


	After 3 years of cutting trees and preparing the grounds, and some unforeseen setbacks (like two major hurricanes), construction on the Meishin Kyudojo finally begins in September 2000.

	The basic construction of the shajo is completed in December 2000


	In late December work also begins on the matoba (target area)


	Meishin Kyudojo students help build the azuchi. We are forever grateful for their cheerful manner under difficult conditions...it was dirty, cold and wet!


	The matoba is completed on January 28, 2001 and is ready for practice.


	Kyudo in North Carolina is rare enough in itself, but kyudo in the snow in North Carolina is a real oddity

Visitors are always welcome at the Meishin Kyudojo. But because it is on private property we ask that they write or call ahead to schedule a visit.
